In 2014 we were approached by Rinse FM as they were collaborating with Rough But Sweet sound systems at Notting hill carnival. They wanted a carnival vibe sound stage, but with a slightly more structured feel. The key part was keeping the Rough But Sweet sound system at the forefront of the show and being used as the main PA to keep with the existing carnival sound location. Negotiations and designs were done, and it was agreed we would bring in one of our Milos arc roofs as centre stage, set up a double width, A and B DJ control console, so DJ’s could move seamlessly between sets without having to hand over one mixer and turntable or CD station to the next DJ. We also had MC’s and vocalists performing huge hits so radio microphones and wired microphones were provided. We then bolstered the Rough But Sweet Sound system with 20 x 1000 watt 18” subs and 12 line array tops, discretely placed so as not to impose on the main system. Guest performers on the day included Mikie Don, General Levy, Katy B and Uncle Dugs. We then had the pleasure of doing this location for another 2 years.
